According to a recent reports, Arsenal and Chelsea, two prominent Premier League football clubs, are vying to secure the services of Viktor Gyokeres, a prolific striker playing for Sporting Lisbon.
As the summer transfer window approaches, the Gunners are allegedly preparing to make an offer for Gyokeres, who has surpassed the goal tally of Manchester City's Erling Haaland, scoring 30 goals and providing six assists in 37 games this season.
However, as per a report by TBR Football, Chelsea is also reportedly interested in Gyokeres, with both clubs expected to face stiff competition in the bidding process. Gyokeres' manager, Ruben Amorim, is rumoured to be departing for Liverpool, which may lead to the player's departure.
Although Gyokeres' release clause is set at a staggering £85.5 million, his impressive record of 36 goals and 15 assists in just 42 appearances has piqued the interest of clubs looking to bolster their attacking ranks. Despite the high cost, both Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be preparing an offer for the Swedish striker.
Both Premier League clubs are keen to bolster their attacking options by recruiting a new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.
