The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recently conducted a successful operation in Zamfara State to eliminate numerous terrorists and their hideouts.
The operation, which was carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji, resulted in the bombing of two terrorist camps that belonged to the terrorist kingpins, Abdullahi Nasanda in Zurmi, and Malam Tukur in Gusau Local Government Areas of Zamfara.
In a statement released by the NAF Spokesman, Edward Gabkwet on Thursday, April 11, it was reported that the operation was conducted with precision, resulting in the successful elimination of the targets. This successful operation is a testament to the NAF's commitment to maintaining peace and security in Nigeria.
The statement partly reads: "Following carefully conducted observation missions over the Camps of terrorist kingpins, Abdullahi Nasanda in Zurmi Local Government Area (LGA) and Mallam Tukur’s camp in Gusau LGA of Zamfara State, air strikes by the air component of Operation Hadarin Daji on 10 April 2024, have led to the elimination of several terrorists and their structures.
"Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission conducted on Abdullahi Nasanda’s Camp had revealed terrorists’ activities around some huts and thatched roof structures.
"Some of their motorcycles were also observed hidden on trees.
