Captain William Ekong, alongside Ademola Lookman of Atalanta in Italy, the dynamic winger Moses Simon, and the reigning Africa Player of the Year Victor Osimhen, along with 19 additional players, will strive to secure six points against the Benin Republic and Rwanda in the concluding rounds of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign this month.

Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen has summoned goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye, defenders Calvin Bassey and Bright Osayi-Samuel, as well as midfielders Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi. The forward line will feature Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface, and Samuel Chukwueze.

Home-based defender Victor Collins will join the squad for the first time, while there will also be a return for the tall forward Sadiq Umar, who represents Real Sociedad in Spain. Furthermore, defenders Olaoluwa Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi are included in the roster, and France-based defender Gabriel Osho aims to participate in his first competitive match for his country, having missed a previous call-up in the summer due to injury.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to depart directly for Abidjan on 11 November, in preparation for their match against the Cheetahs of the Benin Republic, which will take place at the Stade Felix-Houphouet-Boigny on Thursday, 14 November. Subsequently, the team will travel to Uyo for the final qualifying match against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Monday, 18 November.

Currently leading Group D, the Super Eagles will secure their advancement to the final tournament with a minimum of one point against the Cheetahs, thereby increasing their total to 11 points. Only their final opponents, Rwanda, remain capable of surpassing them in the points standings.

Additionally, with a record of seven goals scored and none conceded—thanks to the CAF Disciplinary Board's allocation of three points and three goals for the disrupted Matchday 4 encounter against Libya—the Super Eagles significantly outpace the Amavubi, who face a one-goal deficit and possess five points as they approach the final two matchdays.
